Well, last night STV North Tonight news made the most biased report that Ian Wood was launching a competition to find an architect for his plan. You would think Peacock never existed. I wrote a very angry email to STV to complain. We cannot let them off with this, high time they interviewed the artistic community!!!

How amusing, the councillor has now left the group meaning it has two members.

"I believe in getting a job with one of Acsef's board members when I graduate" might be a more appropriate name for the group

Yes, that would be a better name for their Facebook slobbering over city square ;-)

I joined the I believe group on facebook and I hope made my views on the destruction of UTG clear. There are 265 members though I suspect that they are not supporters of Woods plan but rather people who have joined it because its something to do with the city. Quite shameful of Wood to deride Aberdeen as he did just to get his own way. HIs description of the city centre bears little resemblance to the one I go to work in everyday.

This site seems a bit deceptive. It links desire to see UTG remain largely as is with approval of the Peacock Centre. I believe UTG should remain as is but council shouldn't be wasting money on the Peacock centre in it's current fiscal condition. It certainly shouldn't waste any more money on the ACSEF.

I was never a supporter of the art centre in the gardens, but it’s a lot better than the proposed city square. Maybe that’s Mr. Wood's idea, the lesser of two evils.
